Paper & finishes
Paper weight is measured in gsm: 80–120 gsm for letterheads, 130–170 gsm for flyers and brochures, 300–450 gsm for cards and packaging. Finishes like lamination, spot UV and foil change how a piece looks and feels.
Which paper weight should I choose?
- 80–100 gsm: office paper, letterheads
- 130–170 gsm: flyers, brochure pages, posters
- 250–300 gsm: brochure covers, postcards, folders
- 350–450 gsm: business cards, boxes, tags
Coated or uncoated?
Coated (gloss, silk, matt art) gives sharp, vivid colour. Uncoated has a natural feel and is easy to write on, so it suits letterheads and notepads.
What finishes are available?
- Matte, gloss and soft-touch lamination
- Spot UV: raised gloss on selected areas
- Hot-foil stamping in gold, silver and colours
- Embossing and debossing
